What each installed price band is designed to cover.
20.72kWh · compact retrofit
Often considered when existing solar is sound and the main goal is shifting a defined share of daytime generation into the evening. The inverter and current PV system still need to be checked.
27.96–31.08kWh · family capacity
Often considered by family homes with larger evening loads, air-conditioning or more solar to store. The right capacity depends on usage—not just the number of bedrooms.
41.44–41.76kWh · high capacity
Often considered for larger loads, EV charging or three-phase system designs. More stored energy does not automatically mean whole-home blackout backup.
What changes the quote
Six property inputs matter more than a generic package name.
Capacity and power
Stored energy, charge and discharge power, inverter output and backup output are related—but they are not the same specification.
Single or three-phase
The supply, existing DER and intended inverter architecture affect equipment and grid design. CQ7 and 15kW inverter options have their own surcharge path.
Existing solar
Keeping the current inverter, replacing it or changing the PV arrangement creates different equipment and labour scopes.
Switchboard
Protection, space, metering, backup separation and any required rectification must be assessed at the actual property.
Battery location
Cable distance, access, wall or floor conditions and current installation requirements can change the practical scope.
Blackout backup
Essential-circuit and wider backup designs require different switching, circuit work and load checks. Backup should be explicit in the proposal.

Send your suburb, a recent bill, the existing inverter model and what you want to keep running in a blackout. We’ll identify any remaining site evidence needed for a firm proposal.

How much does a solar battery cost in Brisbane?
Our current standard installed ranges start at $4,999 for a 20.72kWh path, $6,999 for 27.96–31.08kWh paths and $8,499 for 41.44–41.76kWh paths, after the applicable rebate. These are starting points, not a fixed price for every property.
Are these Brisbane solar battery prices installed?
Yes. The published starting prices include GST and standard installation after the applicable federal battery rebate. Backup, switchboard rectification, long cable routes, equipment changes and other non-standard site work are confirmed separately in the written proposal.
Does the federal battery discount apply to existing solar?
Eligible small-scale battery systems connected to new or existing rooftop solar may receive support through the Australian Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries Program. The discount is generally around 30%, but the applied amount depends on usable capacity, STC settings, certificate values and the installation date.
Why can two Brisbane homes receive different quotes for the same battery?
Phase, inverter choice, switchboard work, cable route, backup circuits, installation location, existing-solar changes and grid requirements can all change the labour and equipment needed.
Does a larger kWh number mean more blackout backup power?
No. kWh is stored energy; kW is power. Blackout performance also depends on inverter EPS output, battery discharge limits, state of charge, switching equipment and the loads connected to the backup circuits.
Can you confirm a fixed price from a power bill alone?
A bill helps size the opportunity, but a firm scope also needs the suburb, phase, existing equipment, switchboard and battery location. Unknown site work should be identified before the final proposal rather than added as a surprise later.
